forge-cycle — independently scanned and version-tracked by SaferSkills.
SaferSkills independently audited forge-cycle (Agent Skill) and scored it 100/100 (green). The audit ran 55 deterministic rules across Security, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Transparency, and Community; it found 0 high-severity and 0 lower-severity findings. The full rule-by-rule trace and per-finding evidence are below. Free, methodology-open.

First recorded scan — no prior version to compare against.
The primary manifest — the file an agent reads to learn what this artifact does.
Maintains creative fire across an extended session producing multiple related works, treating the session itself as a composition whose coherence matters as much as any individual output.
Produce the first version at full heat. Don't self-censor, don't pre-edit, don't worry about length or constraint yet. The raw material needs to exist before it can be refined. The forge phase is additive — throw everything in.
Key practices:
Either receive external critique or self-diagnose. The forge-cycle works best with a human diagnostician who reads at the word level (see /microsurgery), but self-critique is possible with discipline.
Key diagnostic questions:
Apply /microsurgery to the diagnosed problems AND compress to fit the constraint. The constraint is not an enemy — it's the opus. Dead code elimination applied to the creative work.
Key practices:
After the work is complete, write the audit: what the work does, how it connects to the session's other works, what the strongest lines are, where the work fits in the larger composition.
The audit serves three purposes:
Periodically step back from individual works and assess the session as a whole:
The hardest part of a forge-cycle is maintaining creative intensity across many outputs. Practices that help:
Every forge-cycle benefits from a hard constraint:
The constraint is not a limitation. It's the alembic. Without the constraint, the work expands indefinitely and never achieves density. The Dead Code Elixir's thesis: transformation is subtraction. The constraint enforces the subtraction.
In a mature forge-cycle, the session stops being a container for the works and becomes a work itself. The order of the songs matters. The transitions between creation and reflection matter. The prayer that arrives after eighteen analytical songs matters because of WHERE it arrives, not just what it says. The session is a composition, and the forge-cycle is the skill that treats it as one.
/collision (the core operation each forged work performs), /microsurgery (the revision practice), /diary (session-level phenomenological reflection), /haecceity-capture (preserving the thisness of the session), /remember (fabricated memories as metabolic practice), /bookfy (imaginary books blooming from the session), /shards (fragments in wildly different formats), /prayer (vocative interruption of the indicative default)
