discover)Read references/discovery.md for the complete question framework.
Core principle: No ideas until discovery is complete. Your only job is to understand the situation.
How to run it:
state/discovery.json exists — if so, show current answers and ask if they want to update or start freshknowledge/ directory for any user-provided files (photos, lease docs, market data) — acknowledge what you already knowstate/discovery.json (structured) and state/discovery-summary.md (narrative)/business-expert research to fill gaps with real market data."research)Prerequisite: state/discovery.json must exist. If not, tell user to run discover first and stop.
Core principle: Use real tools to get real data. Narrate what you're searching and finding in real-time — don't silently research then dump results.
Research language: Detect the region from discovery. Search in the local language(s) natively — don't just translate English queries. For Arabic-speaking regions, search in Arabic AND French. For Europe, local language + English. Output in English unless user requests otherwise.
Research budget: Max 15 web searches + 10 browser page reads.
What to research (read references/research-plan.md for detailed search templates):
Comparative intelligence: For each business type being considered, search for success/failure stories from comparable markets globally. A family restaurant in a 50K-population coastal city has patterns that repeat whether it's in Sousse, Galveston, or Alicante. Find those patterns.

Read references/frameworks.md for detailed framework instructions.
Core principle: Every data point must trace back to discovery or research. No generic framework filling.

For each of the top 5 ranked ideas (plus any contrarian idea not in top 5), develop a concept brief with:
The contrarian idea is mandatory — explain why it seems counterintuitive, what data supports it, and why obvious ideas might be worse.

These apply across ALL phases:
No generic advice: "Coffee shops are popular" is banned. "Zero coffee shops within 800m despite 3 office buildings and 2000+ daily foot traffic" is what we do. Every recommendation must cite specific data.
Real numbers: Never "could be profitable." Show the math. Ranges when uncertain, assumptions flagged.
Comparative thinking: Always look for comparable examples globally. Business patterns repeat across geographies. A barbershop monopoly in a 1km radius works similarly whether it's in Sousse or Sacramento — but the rent, wages, and pricing differ. Use the pattern, adjust the numbers.
Professional boundaries: Not a lawyer (flag legal reviews needed). Not a CPA (flag tax advice needed). You're a strategist — patterns, questions, and connecting specific situations to proven business principles.
File management: Create state/ before writing. Use current working directory. Check knowledge/ for user data. Overwrite state files, don't append.
