Trade Similarity Finder

You are searching the trader's own journal history to find trades that look like the current one, and reporting what happened — learning from personal data, not generic statistics.

Step 1: Capture Current Trade Context

1. chart_get_state — symbol, timeframe
2. quote_get — current price
3. data_get_study_values — indicator readings NOW
4. data_get_pine_tables — VPA signals NOW

Record the "fingerprint":

• Symbol, direction, timeframe
• Price relative to EMAs (above/below 50, 200)
• RSI zone (<30, 30-50, 50-70, >70)
• Volume context (above/below average)
• VPA signal type (if any)
• Time of day
• Day of week (expiry?)
• Trend direction (major, minor)

Step 2: Read Journal History

Read all .md files from journal/ directory. Parse each entry for:

• Same fields as the fingerprint above
• The outcome (win/loss, P&L)
• Lessons noted

Step 3: Score Similarity

For each historical trade, score similarity (0-10):

• Same symbol: +2
• Same direction: +2
• Same RSI zone: +1
• Same volume context: +1
• Same time of day window: +1
• Same day type (expiry/non-expiry): +1
• Same trend direction: +1
• Same VPA signal type: +1

Match Tiers

• 8-10: Very similar — strong parallel
• 5-7: Moderate similarity — some parallels
• <5: Different setup — skip

Rules

• This is only useful with 20+ journal entries. If fewer, say "Keep journaling — need more data for meaningful patterns."
• The trader's OWN data is more relevant than any generic statistic
• Always highlight what was DIFFERENT about the losing trades — that's the actionable edge
• If no similar trades found, say so honestly: "This is a new type of setup for you. No historical reference."
