Install: the Asset Store and the Asset Library put this folder at res://addons/beckett/ for you. From a zip, extract it into your project root so this folder ends up at res://addons/beckett/. Then enable the plugin in Project Settings > Plugins; it auto-starts and writes .mcp.json so Claude / Cursor / VS Code connect over local HTTP. Try "get_scene_tree". This free Lite edition does the whole basic loop AND lets the AI SEE your running game: it inspects any node via reflection, authors scenes/scripts/ resources (every script parse-checked before it touches disk), runs the game, and reads the screen + live scene tree + runtime state to tell you what is wrong. It sees the running game and does not drive it: the game-side runtime ships here as MIT source, but Lite's tools never send input or other drive commands, and its bridge refuses them.
